Empress Esthetic:   IPS Empress offers a new leucite reinforced glass ceramic with a broader ingot shade range that gives us more selection to meet the demands of our patients. The greater dispersion of leucite crystals in the ingots provides greater homogeneity and improved flexural strength. Used with a traditional staining or a layering method, the Empress Esthetic delivers outstanding results.
Advantages:  true to nature esthetics, higher flexural strength, optimized color and clarity
Indications:  veneers, inlays and onlays, single crowns
Cementation:  enamel-dentin bonding systems for veneers and dual cure resin with all others

IPS Empress II - Eris:  This second generation of the Empress system now offers the possibility to fabricate all-ceramic bridges. The lithium disilicate framework and the fluoroapatite layering Eris porcelain combine for outstanding, natural restorations.
Advantages:   metal-free esthetics, wear compatibility with opposing dentition, excellent marginal adaption
Indications:  single crowns, three-unit bridges with one pontic – only the second bicuspid can be the most distal abutment, Cosmo-posts
Cementation:  resin or adhesive cements (Ivoclar’s Variolink II or Appeal cements)

Wol-Ceram:  This automated process uses electro-deposition to apple a uniform thickness of Inceram alumina or zirconia to the master die after the die has been measured by a laser for precise dimensions. Wol-ceram’s beautiful, natural esthetics result from a dentin colored coping that prevents opaque show-through.
Advantages:   feather-edge or chamfer margins, excellent marginal integrity
Indications:  single crowns three-unit bridges
Cementation:  resin or adhesive cements

3M ESPE Lava:  Lava uses a CAD/CAMprocess and light triangulation in an optical scanner to produce dentin-colored zirconia copings. The patterns are sintered in a precise heating and cooling cycle to produce the final color, size and strength.
Advantages:  highly biocompatible, superior strength, excellent esthetics and translucency
Indications:  single crowns and bridges (up to 48mm in length)
Cementation:  adhesive cements – Ivoclar’s Multilink

Nobel Biocare’s Procera:  Procera offers you the optimal restorative system. You can use this product for full crowns, veneers, bridges and implants. The combination of alumina or zirconia and the new Nobel Rondo layering porcelains gives you a simple and predictable excellent esthetic result every time. The high flexural strength of Nobel Rondo ceramics is outstanding (120MPa)! This value exceeds other comparable ceramics by 20-70%. Procera provides outstanding metal-free esthetics with the ease and convenience of traditional cementations. Choose from alumina or zirconia for ful crowns or Procera bridge zirconia for bridges up to four units. Procera also provides titanium or zirconia custom abutments for implants.
Advantages:  superior strength and esthetics, strongest layering porcelain in the market, highly biocompatible, bridges up to four units, splinted crowns
Indications:  single crowns, veneers, bridges, implants
Cementation:  adhesive and glass ionomer cements

Dentsply Cercon:  Conventionally cementable all-ceramic zirconia-based restorations – Yttria-stabalized zirconia is a highly stable oxide ceramic delivering strength and fracture toughness far beyond the capabilities of other known ceramics including alumina, lithium disilicate, and glass infiltrated InCeram materials.
Advantages:  high strength, CAD/CAM production
Indications:  single crowns and bridges up to 47mm in length
Cementation:  conventional and adhesive cements
