Porcelain
to Metal
Porcelain fused to metal:
PFM restorations continue to serve as one of dentistry's
primary restorative choices. Our dedicated team of technicians
create natural esthetics while maintaining function in all of our cases.
We use Ceramco 3 and Ivoclar's D-sign porcelain for our crowns and bridges
fused to metal.
Advantages: longevity, superior strength, kindness to
opposing dentition, ease of adjustment clinically, and natural enhanced
esthetics.
Indications: full coverage crowns and bridges, metal
colossal an option
Cementation: traditional cements, resin cements, glass
ionomers.
Captek:
Excellent esthetics, strength, resistance to plaque and
temperature stability are some of the advantages of Captek restorations. The
Captek crown uses a layer of palladium, platinum, and trace elements that
is adapted to the die and fired. The 22k gold layer is then
adapted and fired. This G material interpenetrates to skeletal
mesh and then a ceramic binder is applied to create a coping ready for
porcelain application.
Advantages: highly biocompatible and corrosion resistant,
warm color at the gingival, less bacteria accumulation marginally
Indications: single crowns, three-unit bridges
Cementation: traditional cements, resin cements
